Photo – Memorial’s dedication draws 200

Veterans and active-duty military personnel join University President Jem Spectar Friday at the campus Heroes’ Memorial opening ceremony. The memorial features 14 granite slabs, 10 of which contain the names of Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist-attack victims and military personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The slabs surround a twisted steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center debris in New York City.
