For those staying in and around the Johnstown area this summer, many will be happy to hear that a number of the city’s beloved annual events that were canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic are scheduled to return this summer.

On Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Discover Downtown Johnstown Partnership will hold their annual Taste and Tour event.

This annual event is a showcase of what Johnstown’s downtown businesses have to offer.

Restaurants, pubs, and specialty retail stores will open their doors to give participants access to the best specials and samples of each venue.

The cost of this event is $30, and tickets can only be purchased online through Eventbrite.

The annual St. Mary’s Johnstown PolkaFest is also set to return from Friday, June 4, 2021 (All day) to Sunday, June 6, 2021 (All day) for three days of dancing, eating, shopping, and fun under the church’s covered pavilion.

This free admission event will feature some of the best Polish and Slovenian bands in the world.

St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church is located at 411 Power Street in the historic Cambria City section of downtown Johnstown.

Finally, June 24-27, 2021, Johnstown’s annual Thunder in the Valley motorcycle rally will be held in downtown Johnstown and the surrounding Johnstown area with no cost of admission.

Vendors, live music, and displays from motorcycle manufacturers will be located in various downtown areas, including Central Park, Biker Mall, and Peoples Natural Gas Park. All event information is available on Visit Johnstown’s website, visitjohnstownpa.com.
