Correction:

The Advocate’s Dec. 7 story “Student Charged” incorrectly stated that Officer Daniel Smith, had seen an underage student consuming alcohol. The citation did not say Smith had seen the drinking taking place.

Pitt-Johnstown police have charged Julia Pravlochak, 18, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, with purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages.

Officer David Smith said in a citation that he saw Pravlochak Nov. 6 in Hemlock Hall consuming a malt or brewed beverage while being underage.

A total fine of $455 was listed for the charge.
