Campus police have charged Jacob Hall, 22, of New Florence, Westmoreland County, with burglary, criminal trespass, defiant trespass and theft Oct. 13.

An officer said he responded to a report that Hall had been found in a Cascade Townhouse by its residents attempting to steal three cans of beer and a bottle of vodka, according to the Tribune-Democrat.

Hall reportedly dropped the alcohol and fled through the townhouse’s back door.

Campus police reportedly had issued a no-entry ban on Hall Sept. 19.

Hall was informed of the charges and lodged in the Cambria County Prison after failing to post a $20,000 bond to assure his appearance in further proceedings.

A prison shift supervisor said last Friday Hall was no longer being held at the prison.
