As of Thursday, Richland Township police Detective Kevin Lehman said that the assault outside Bottoms Up Bar and Grill is still under investigation.

Lehman said they still do not have any new leads or new statements, from those involved, particularly victims identified as intoxicated Pitt-Johnstown students.

“If you don’t remember that night what happened, you probably won’t remember at all,” Lehman said of the lack of information forthcoming.

Lehman has a statement from one alleged victim, but apparently needs more to piece together a coherent rendition of events to support any further action.

He said his impression is that all of the victims are Pitt-Johnstown students. However, the two men who were the focus of the fight and the offenders may or may not be Pitt-Johnstown students.

One woman who was assaulted did have previous contact with the one man, Lehman said.

According to Lehman the two men tried to break up the assault, but they were unsuccessful.

Lehman said they will leave the case open until later this week then the investigation is to be suspended.
