Preparing for finals week offers distractions, noise and late-night snacking needs. It’s hard sometimes for students to find that perfect place to settle down and study.
The Student Union cafeteria is to be opened late for student study use during finals week.
According to Sodexo General Manager Victor Costlow, the cafeteria is to open at its regular hours April 20 and close at 7 p.m. It will reopen at 8 p.m. and then stay open throughout the night into the next morning, closing at 7:15 a.m.
This is to continue throughout finals week, and is to conclude at 7 p.m April 24.
The cafeteria is to still be open during its regular hours. Pastries, coffee and cookies are to be available to students during the late night hours. Drink machines also are to be open to students.
A few students plan on taking advantage of the cafeteria’s late hours.
“I think that is a phenomenal idea. I will most certainly take advantage of it,” freshman Jeffrey Adams said.
Junior Morgan Ferber said she probably will take advantage of the late hours.
“I think it’s a good idea,” she said. “It will give people a place to go get a snack.”
