Former UPJ student Kyle Timothy Pucci, 21, of Friedens, Somerset County, has waived his right to hear the evidence against him in a preliminary hearing in an alleged 2010 campus rape.

Pucci is accused of raping a woman in a Hickory Hall room, according to the Tribune-Democrat.

After the preliminary hearing stage, a case is then scheduled for trial in county court.

Charges against him include rape by force, rape of victim who was impaired, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by force, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault.

Pucci waived his right to a premilinary hearing last week before District Judge Max Pavlovich of Richland Township, the Tribune-Democrat said.
