Student Senate Student Affairs and Campus Development Committee members conducted a survey last weekend on four campus residential areas, aimed at gathering students’ opinions on possible senate initiatives.
The survey included two major topics: constructing a paved path connecting Whalley Chapel to Campus Commons and installing water-bottle fountains in residence halls.
A third topic dealing with regular bathroom cleaning by university custodians was disregarded due to expected unanimous support.
The survey was to be on a door-to-door basis, with 25 designated for each residential area for a total of 100 surveys.
“(These are) the last few initiatives we were asked to look into,” said Committee Chairman Stephen Torquato. “We’re trying to wrap things up before the end.”
Survey results were to have been presented to Student Senate on Monday evening.
