Virtual campus activities engage students

The recent ski lift ticket sales were a hit, and those who signed up to be put on the waiting list are able to pick up their ski lift tickets in the student union today between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. More dates for ticket purchases are yet to be determined.

Tonight, Friday, March 5 at 7:00 p.m., Pitt-Johnstown Campus Activities will be holding an invite only meeting with the Dating Doctor, David Coleman.

David Coleman has asked Pitt-Johnstown to be a part of an “invite only” event with a few other campuses.

It will be a safe environment where students are open to talk about dating questions and scenarios, dating during Covid, how to be a better partner, how to identify whether or not you are in a healthy relationship, and anything students wish to ask.

SPARKS Pitt-Johnstown is offering a mindful movement, music, and meditation event with Rachel Allen on Wednesday, March 10 at 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Rachel will be leading a discussion where participants can read and listen to inspiring stories, sing, dance, and meditate in an inclusive space.

The Pitt-Johnstown Program Board is hosting a virtual comedy show with Melissa McGillicuddy, a stand-up comedian based in Sacramento, California, on Wednesday, March 10 at 8:00 p.m.

Melissa has won the Wildcard Competition at the Sacramento Comedy Festival, co-produces the Moving Van Show, a pop-up comedy show that was awarded “Best DIY comedy on the go”, by the Sacramento News & Review, and co-produced Sacramento FemmeFest, the city’s first all-female comedy festival. Pitt Program Council is holding a Q&A with Schitt’s Creek actor Dan Levy!

Students will have an opportunity to both pre-submit questions for the event via PPC’s Instagram direct message as well as submit questions during the event as it’s happening.

This event was originally scheduled for March 17, but the date has been moved to March 16 at 8:30 p.m.
